Lately, Korean haircare products have been my favorites to go to for a number of hair issues like dryness, creating fuller, thicker hair around my hairline, and making my hair smooth and shiny. There are so many products that are born in Korea that use innovative formulas and quality ingredients which leave my hair feeling silky and fresh.

Just like with Korean skincare, haircare in South Korea has a reputation for innovation that has resulted in products that e popular worldwide. That being said, some of these are still under appreciated for the miracles they work on different hair types. The following products are some the best ones and have become some of my favorites to turn to in the shower and beyond.

Why I Love Korean Haircare

Korean haircare is known for their innovation and use of natural ingredients, but for me it’s their focus on holistic hair and scalp health set their products apart. Scalp health is really important to me to keep my hair shiny, healthy, and growing, especially as I age.

There are also a number of haircare products from South Korea that really specialize in nourishing damaged and dry hair. I’m always after shinier, softer hair, and I’ve found that whether my hair is dry and damaged or not, using a great mask really amps up my hair’s appearance and makes it feel soft too.

My Favorite Korean Haircare Products

Moremo Water Treatment Miracle 10

Water treatments are some of my favorite instant repair and softening hair treatments out there. While they are growing in popularity here in the US, there are many Korean water treatments that are hair super soft and shiny, like a gloss and conditioner combined into one.

The Moremo Water Treatment Miracle 10 is one of my favorite iterations of this trend because of how instantly my hair detangles and hair smooth and wildly shiny my hair is afterwards. It’s definitely worthy of its popularity and one of my go-tos for incredible shine.

Aromatica Rosemary Root Enhancer

Hair oiling has been all the rage lately, but my oily-prone scalp can’t handle more oil. While I wanted the benefits of hair oiling (shiny, longer, and fuller hair), I didn’t want to make my hair greasier.

The Aromatica Scalp Tonic has been a godsend that has made my hairline fuller and also helps to balance my scalp. It has a light scent and is water-based so it doesn’t leave my hair feeling greasy, just light and fresh.

scalp scaler

Esthetic House CP-1 Scalp Scaler

When I tried the CP-1 Scalp Scaler last year I was skeptical as I had never gotten along with scalp scrubs before. This product however is a really gentle scrub that manages to leave my scalp feeling really refreshed and healthy. It strips my hair and scalp of excess sebum without making it feel dry.

korean hair masks

Haeyo Mayo Hair Nutrition Mask

The Haeyo Mayo Hair Nutrition Mask is super popular in South Korean and abroad, so popular that I figured it couldn’t possibly be that special. After my hair started feeling dry though, I figured I’d see what all the fuss was about.

The mask has a thick and creamy texture which seems to melt into my hair and make it feel instantly soft. After a few minutes of leaving the mask on my hair, it felt instantly refreshed. Once dry, it always leaves my hair feeling super soft at the ends and restores its shine. It’s an amazing mask to have on hand if you suffer from dry hair from time to time. It’s truly one of my new favorites.

UNOVE Deep Damage Treatment

The UNOVE Deep Damage Treatment is one of the best products I’ve ever tried for hair damage, period. It’s a gel-cream texture that turns into a water-cream texture once you add some water which allows it to be spread more easily over your hair. After leaving it on damp hair for 15 minutes, my hair is transformed.

My Favorite Korean Haircare Products Conclusion

Korean hair products are quickly becoming some of my all-time favorites, but at their often affordable price points they are absolutely worth trying. Damaged and dry hair types have a lot of great hair masks to choose from, but I also love their solutions for hair growth that don’t leave hair greasy. I’m excited to try more hair products from South Korea, especially some of their shampoos and conditioners!
